I'm kind of wondering what the point of a "split double-lp" is - why not just 2 lp's?

Looking at the "upcoming" list on that website, and the position of the Bark Haze / Traum release on that list, I suspect that it won't actually see the light of day until some time in 2008. It's not a 2 x LP/CD called Monolith, by the way, it's a split single LP/CD called Monolith 2. Monolith 1 will be a LP/CD split between Heavy Winged and Windy+Carl.
In the meantime, I recommend that everyone buys the Rameses III release on that label, or at least listens to the mp3 from it: Rameses III - Matanuska |

I've been listening to their lp on Not Not Fun and the Cd on 3lobed, pretty nice dense jams, for those who like the heavy and free...the split 7" with Blues control is fun as well. |

I really like that split with Blues Control, although especially the Blues Control side. I have the Blacc Lust CD as well, good stuff.

The word from Ben Hall is that he doesn't know the release date of this, but that the label has had Traum's part for a little while now and he gets the impression that it won't be all that long before it sees the light of day.
The word from the label is... they haven't replied to my email. |
