I was thinking of upgrading my scummy CD copy of SYR3 to vinyl via the good people at Kung Fu Nation and was wondering if I were to do this, would I receive it on clear vinyl?
I've heard of black copies of SYR2, knowing there was an early mispress, but were there later pressings on black? If so, were there later pressing on black for SYR3, which I would presumably get if I bought now. I like my JO'R on clear vinyl, to match Scend. That said, a copy on black vinyl would match Two Organs, so it would be alright really. (Side issue: I presume all of the music on the SYR3 CD is on the LP - does the 29min running time of track 3 confuse record players?) |

The clear version of SYR3 sold out long ago. And yes, all the music is on the LP as on the disc version. (In fact, in regards to SYR4: Goodbye 20th Century, you actually get more music on the double vinyl version in the case of one of the numbers.) If you want to learn more about the contentious issue of SYR2 and its numerous confusing colours on vinyl, look for my thread from a couple of weeks back: 'SYR2: How Many Colours?'.
By the way, you sound even more obsessive-compulsive than I do. |

I've got a clear copy, and I just bought it (this summer, I think?)... but it was from a store, and I think he's had them for a while...

yes, SYR4 LP sequence is different (check the discog if curious), BUT.. uuuh whichever 'six' piece they do twice (once on each disc) is actually missing like a minute or something on the CD, but it IS on the LP. i forget offhand if this is the only difference, piece enfantine may be extended too. weird shit!
