The collection is pretty useless to me, since I have every song, including probably everything off the bonus disc. Definitely a great starting point for someone to get acquainted with the band.
I transferred this for Atari 2600, but thought i'd share with other REM fans too: REM 4/24/82 Merlyns, Madison WI Soundboard http://www.sendspace.com/file/k57qaq |

Here's some possible cover art pictures. These are from the Merlyn's show in '81 rather than '82.
The show is great, thanks CHOUT! |

It works just fine; I just tested it. My guess is that you accidentally clicked someplace on the landing page.

From their newsletter.......
JACKNIFE LEE TO PRODUCE R.E.M.'S NEXT RECORD REMHQ is very pleased to announce that R.E.M. and two-time Grammy Award winning producer Jacknife Lee will work together on the band's next record. The band and Lee plan to begin recording this spring. Lee's impressive production resumé includes work with U2 on"How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb," for which he received two Grammys, Snow Patrol's last two records, "Final Straw" and "Eyes Open," and Bloc Party's highly acclaimed "A Weekend In The City." Mike Mills of R.E.M. says that he and bandmembers Peter Buck and Michael Stipe are very excited about getting back to work with Lee in the driver's seat: "We are psyched to work with Jacknife Lee. We've got a great batch of new songs, and can't wait to put them down." Lee, based in the UK, also expressed his enthusiasm for working with R.E.M.: “There is no model for REM,” says Jacknife. “Consistently one of the Great Bands, if not the greatest. They push themselves further than most, doing every time what is the goal for any artist - explore. These new songs are some of their most exciting and visceral yet.” Lee's production credits also include records by Aqualung, The Hives, The Editors and Kasabian. For more information about Jacknife Lee, please visit Big Life Artists' web site and his myspace page. ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME TV SCHEDULE The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony will be broadcast live from the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel on VH1 Classic and MHD (MTV's new high-definition channel) on March 12, 2007, beginning at 8:30pm ET. AOL will feature the induction on demand commencing on March 13th. The full ceremony will air again on VH1 Classic and MHD on Friday, March 16th. An edited version will air in rotation on VH1, VH1 Classic and MHD beginning on Saturday, March 17th. Be sure to tune in and watch R.E.M.'s performance and induction. Bill, Peter, Mike, and Michael will be inducted alongside Patti Smith, Van Halen, Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five, and The Ronettes. If you're in the Athens area, please be sure to stop by the Melting Point where our friends at Athensmusic.net are throwing a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame viewing party. The night gets started at 6:30pm and promises to be a lot of fun. FINEST WORKSONGS CD READY FOR PRE-ORDER Athensmusic.net is now taking pre-orders for "Finest Worksongs: Athens Bands Play The Music of R.E.M." The CD commemorates the amazing tribute to R.E.M. which took place on September 12, 2006. On that night seven Athens bands--Claire Campbell, Tin Cup Prophette, Modern Skirts, Bain Mattox, The Observatory, Patterson Hood, and Five Eight--played R.E.M. songs at the 40 Watt Club. The show was held in conjunction with R.E.M.'s release of "And I Feel FineÖThe Best of The IRS Years" and the band's induction into the Georgia Music Hall of Fame that same weekend. Net proceeds from the Finest Worksongs release will benefit Community Connection of Northeast Georgia and Family Connection/Communities in Schools, the two organizations who were beneficiaries of the nearly $13,000 raised on September 12, 2006. Finest Worksongs is being released by Iron Horse Records, an Athens, GA-based record label under the auspices of athensmusic.net that specializes in music from its hometown. The opening track is performed by Liz Durrett, who was part of the original lineup but, due to illness, had to cancel at the last minute. Although Liz was unable to perform that night, she later recorded The One I Love especially for the CD. For pre-order details, please visit http://www.athensmusic.net/ TRACK LISTING 1.
