You think it's great cause you love SY and the Boredoms?
I like New Order and the Smiths ( a little ) and Electronic sucks. Well , other posters will tell what they think about it. |

I've got it on CD. It's uh, interesting, and I can totally enjoy to hear 10 minutes of screaming sometimes. Actually that's funny because I listened to it yesterday. Not a masterpiece by any mean (except if you consider it conceptually), but definitively interesting, in my opinion

i love it, one of my favorite of either parties.
if you understand the genius of the gerogerigegege, then you'll love tv shit. ps: the youth brigade song they cover is actually a kinda accurate cover, the original just goes "no" for 2 seconds. |

It's interesting, but nothing you'd ever want to listen to again.
But SY usually do release great ep's; silver sessions is probably my favorite sonic youth release (and Thurston's as well)... |

yeah i duno, sonic youth isnt loved here in tucson like they are back in boston, the only ablums i ever see, even in the underground rock record shop, are the full lenths and the reissues.

Given the talent of all involved I don't know why it's so unexciting, but it is. A friend of mine gave it to me, because she knew I loved Sonic Youth and figured I should have it. I already knew it was more conceptual than listenable though. So it sits on my cd rack being conceptual and I'm sort of glad I have it, but moreso that I didn't buy it.
Mind, I love noise music when it does something. Silver Sessions is awesome. I look forward to SYR 8 and hope it is more like that than like TV Shit. |
