For one reason or another, I don't really like and rarely listen to "Goo" anymore, but I just was flippin to my I-tunes to which is noticed I havn't played "Mote" in a while. Honestly, that song alone makes Goo a great record, its just amazing epic quasi-psych noise pop along with the greatest vocal melody Lee has ever done. Its actually my favorite Lee song I think, for sure.

Mote is the be-all and end-all of the sonic dochotomy. beautiful melodic lyric line, clear singing, excellent riffing, and then SHAZZAMMOOOO, the skronk dials it in for like 5 fucking minutes!!!!!
My second fave SY song ever Put Mote and Genetic in a time capsule and save them for me to play in the last 10 minutes of my life...

GOO has grown on me a lot of the years. But yeah, "Mote" is the shit on there. Strangely HITS ARE FOR SQUARES reminded (or maybe revealed to) me how awesome "Disappearer" is.

For years Goo was my favorite album of all time...
I haven't listened to it in a while, though...I'm afraid I listen to so much stuff nowdays that it may not be as special as I remember. But, yeah, Mote's awesome. Every song on Goo is a masterpiece to me.

Goo is one of my least favourite SY albums, but it does have a few fantastic songs, the best being Titanium Expose, followed by Mote and Tunic.

Mote is pure greatness. Basically, bump Disappear up a few places and the songs on Goo are ranked best-worst in exact relation to longest-shortest. There's probably a message there.
