Horror, Psychological what have you. We all talk about the movies that scared us when we were kids but what movies actually bug you as an adult?
For me the worst one would probably be Mulholland Drive. I actually still have a difficult time sitting through that movie to this day because it bothers me so badly. It's terrifying. Alien still scares me in some parts, primarily the part where they leave the ship to board the alien ship. Oh and I know it's lame but that movie " The Witches " with Angelica Houston. I literally can't watch that movie because it traumatized me sooo badly as a child. Only the first half of the movie though where the grandmother is telling the boy about real witches and the little Swedish girl who was killed by them, and then she appears inside the painting. Still can't watch that to this day. |

The most terrifying and bizarre film I've ever seen is definitely Visions of Suffering.
That's pretty much it. Some Lynch films have made me feel uneasy, same goes for Cronenberg. But if you want to see something truely fucked up, I highly reccomend Visions of Suffering (though trust me, it's not a really a "reccomendation", if that makes sense). Parts of Begotten were terrifying as well, specifically the rape scene. That's all I can think of. |

yes lynchs lost highways is the movie that scares me the most. when I saw it first I remmeber almost exploding in the first half where the situation with the camera-inside-their-house scene got its peak.

I have a few videos of eye surgery. I can't watch them for too long. But that's a different thing again, right?

I will NOT watch the Deer Hunter again. I'm not sure if it really scares me but it certainly makes me sick to my stomach.

I pretty much jump at most of those shock moments in films. More startling than actually scary. And very annoying/cheap directing.

As a horror fan, it sadly gets harder and harder to get that fix as you get older. Though I did watch Jacob's Ladder for the first time in a few years the other night, and I was pleased that it still gave me that very basic feeling of dread that it originally had.

yeh nothing is scary anymore
the movie Paranormal activity looked like it was was going to be genuinely scary but because of who bought it, they are remaking it and not letting us see the original
