Sensitive/ Lethal Sensitive/Lethal is Thurston Moore in deep basement cosmosis. Investigations into acoustic guitar as noise instrument as well as noise/amp discussion for a hopeful and bright blackness Childhood dreams of noise essayed with photos of unsuspecting innocents running from noise weirdo (front cover) and texas blues albino drug zap (johnny winter– still alive and well detail– back cover). This is the story told in drone meditation and sweet slice. from http://www.cargorecords.co.uk/release/5180 |

Burning Star Core 'Blood Lightning 2007'CD,Semgma/Giffoni/Metalux LP, and the Mouthus 2x12" are now all sold out from us. And we only have a handful of copies left of the limited Prurient cd+5",Religious Knives CD and the Hive Mind and Consumer Electronics LP's. here is some descriptions of our new releases: NFP-26 Thurston Moore 'Sensitive/Lethal' CD Sensitive/Lethal is Thurston Moore in deep basement cosmosis. Investigations into acoustic guitar as noise instrument as well as noise/amp discussion for a hopeful and bright blackness. Childhood dreams of noise essayed with photos of unsuspecting innocents running from noise weirdo (front cover) and texas blues albino drug zap (johnny winter – still alive and well detail – back cover). This is the story told in drone meditation and sweet slice. NFP-30 Religious Knives 'Resin' CD Since their first release for No Fun Productions, the collection of early LP's/singles entitled 'Remains', the Religious Knives have grown into a stunningly assured and powerful rock n' roll band of sorts, one liberally and noticeably immersed in the smoke-addled haze of the psychedelic underground. Resin marches ahead with a vigorous potency that accurately shares its bloodline with the best psychedelic acts of the past. This is Brooklyn's true Psychedelic Rock. LPs: NFP-21 Enema Syringe 'live at no fun fest 2007' lp - limited to 350. Full no fun 2007 live set, recorded to the best possible quality. Totally insane and heavy set from Industrial/Noise Swedish Pioneer's Enema Syringe. NFP-22 Carlos Giffoni/Aaron Dilloway 'live at no fun fest 2007' split lp. limited to 350.Full no fun 2007 live sets, from Giffoni and Dilloway recorded to the best possible quality.Total tape mangling, and Analog Synth destruction. No Fun Fest: Tickets are moving quickly, only a few 3 day passes left and single day tickets moving fast specially for Saturday... Hotel info coming in a week or two along with some new information. |

review from vital weekly:
Timeless and without comparison though, is the new Thurston Moore solo album. More intricate then, say, his work as Bark Haze, much more listenable too (even if the little girl on the cover doesn't agree). The first track is layer over layer of guitar, but nothing gets out of hand, it sounds rather balanced. A backbone of acoustic guitar is backing up a frontal guitar freakout, and they work perfectly together. After a nice short middle track the final one rips up the scene to pieces, a quite noisy affair though still very enjoyable. I wouldn't mind hearing more of this stuff from Mr. Moore... got my copy from no fun prod. and i have to say it is probably the best solo noise recording thurston has done in some time now, i'd have to agree with david keenan's (@ volcanic tongue) assessment of the cd... love the layers and layers of guitar/noise tracks on the first piece, works really well and i like how the fidelity isn't such that it wasn't recorded to a boombox and you can actually pickup alot of nuances in the sounds.
