Vermonster-Instinctively Inhuman, 1991, Twistede Village

Note: if you hate wanking of any kind, then forget about ever liking this record, however, if you, like me, have a soft spot for mega blown out over-amplified guitar freakout feedback wanking, then this will be the best thing you have ever heard.

Vermonster is bascially two record nerds from Cambrige who run the awesome Twisted Village shop. This record is a mega stoned re-working of the super stoned semi-classic psych album "Stoned Guitar" by New Zealand band Human Instinct. Its actually a half baked half-rerecording, because they only did the first two songs. Ive never heard Human Instinct so for all I know they just totally ripped the album. This is awesome shit though. Not much I can say other than its just ripping feedback drenched guitar solos for a couple long tracks, but abolustely never gets boring. Lots of dynamic changes. I wish all Psych-Noise would sound more like this, with more emphasis on the riffs than the fuzz. Maybe even the world's loudest jam band. Its amazing to me how overlooked these guys are influence wise, as something like AMT's "Electric Heavy Land" sounds like its directly indebted.

Vermonster also recorded some amazing albums on thier own as well; "Spirit of YMA" and "the Holy Sound of American Pipe".
