although this looks neat I am disgusted and repulsed.
in the words of Kim Gordon, "what a waste" I saw a show in Hosuton of an artist who covered the walls of the contemporary art museum with hundreds if not thousands of record covers, each one ruined (and some were supa dope records) because she used a goddamn staple gun on each corner to hang them! what the fuck? I was so pissed off. oh well, fuck her and her horse.

but I guess that is the point.
I'd feel even more enraged if I saw the willful destruction of that many books.

Just go to any garage sale and there will be piles of crap records...
It is not like they are acetates or something. They are useless

AOL CD's is software. soon to be outdated sales pitches basically
records are archives of sound, historical documents, no matter what you may think of the music contained within. they are a source of much information, not just the music. records have names of companies, people, engineers, writers, dates, connections to be made for anyone who is a researcher or has a researcher's mind. it is different to have a pile of neglected LP's at a sale. the ones in the above image were actively destroyed by using them as flooring/ having said that thanks themawt71 for the great read !!!
