A lot of people ask me how I can listen to "that noise stuff." They say it's too chaotic and makes them nervous. Am I the only one that is soothed by it? I mean, to me, it's actually quite relaxing. I don't know if it's just an overload on my senses or what, but I can fall asleep to it just as easy I can chilled music.

wow, I guess I am the only one I don't know why, but if I'm listening to it, especially at a live show, I just get all relaxed. But it really does feel like an overload, like maybe my nerves got fried and they just shut down on me or something, it's the greatest feeling...

I have become quite desensitized to noise in Wolf Eyes recordings, I can fall asleep to it quite easily. It just depends on the artist to me. I can always predict where the noise is going if I know the artist well enough. I cant fall asleep however to Prurient....

yeah, if it's too spastic and keeps working your mind, then it's not as soothing, but if it's a loud drone, forget about it, I'm out like a lamp...

it depends on what kind of noise. The noise I make is more of a thrash shit around, so theres a lot of random noises. Atmosphereic harsh noise I could fall alseep to, but I like falling asleep to structured sounds. It helps the mind.

to me the best noise is intense and fun to listen to. but you have to go into it with the right mind.

I find noise relaxing. Soothing. Most of the noise-icians I know find it quite pleasant. I'm always impressed if a noise album can managed to jolt me about a bit, or irritate me.

on a side note: I dont really like harsh noise. Not because it is harsh, but because a lot of it sounds the same.

Very true. I liked noise in general for a while, but I got bored of most of it after about 18 months.

i find noise quite exhilarating and frequently listen to it when i'm in a bad mood and want to blow of some steam by listening to something that is symathetic to my repressed rage & misanthropy

it's also sort of a palate cleanser too, if you know what I mean...

exactly. It reformats your musical palate, and clears your mind...
