.....you bought in the week of release?
Mine was A Thousand Leaves. I got into them at Washing Machine, and bought most of the catalogue pretty quick. Bizarrely, it was a few years until I got CIS and the debut EP |

Has to be Rather Ripped for me. I got into them just after the release of Sonic Nurse, and yeah, bought most of the catalogue pretty quickly as well. I think by the time Rather Ripped was released I had all the albums, SYRs and some EPs and solo projects

Actually it was probably the eternal, although I probably got the Destroyed Room within around a month of coming out. I didn't really buy much music until my conversion to record geek side in 2006, and that's when I found the yoof. Didn't take me long efter that to obsessively buy everything, so I've been hankering for 2 years to get a shot at picking up an SY album on release day...

The Eternal
Got into them right after Rather Ripped was released, although I only brought myself to listen to it nine months after I started listening to SY. edit: fuck, I realized that I already have more than one hundred posts...it seems like only yesterday I had twenty-something...lol |

Nurse. I first heard SY right around the release of Murray Street, and didn't get any of their albums until I got DDN sometime in '03. Got Sister and Dirty shortly after, Nurse when it came out, and the rest is history.

I got into Sonic Youth in 2007, so it was The Eternal for me.

I wanted to get The Eternal when it came out, but I had no money.
I think I got Sonic Nurse and Rather Ripped the first month they were released, but I don't think I've ever gotten an SY disc the first week of its release...
