went to see chris corsano last night last night with support from alex neilson, heather leigh murray and usurper. decent night although for some reason i wasn't really in the mood for it, plus i've seen corsano umpteen times before and he didn't seem totally into it last night. it was cool seeing alex neilson play drums with corsano playing some sort of tenor (?) sax with what looked like a vacuum cleaner attachment...
anyway, the best thing was at the end when they busted out a merch stall and I spotted the CD this thread is named after.. Totally sick fucking shred... track one, with jim, is an unremitting, piercing alarm tone, ill winds, with frantic metallic scraping... track two is a shorter blast of free improv noise w. thurston and corsano himself on drums... jawdropping guitar squall and skronk, washes of white noise, anchored by corsano's demented skin attacks... anyone else heard this? only complaint is that it only lasts 20 mins but if yr the kinda cat that digs quality over quantity then this is a must-have |

Haven't heard this yet... it's on my ever expanding list of things to check out.
Looking forward to hearing it though... your description has certainly whetted my appetite.
