Good luck.
My shit's too fucked up for dancefloors. Maybe the headshop.... What kind of deck do you run, Fox? I use a Numark NS6 with Serato - Twitch software. |

nope, not over yet - right now it's only 5pm in france!
bytor & floslo, i'm mixing via traktor but without the sync function (so it's actually quite similar to mixing with a cdj). i'm using a traktor S2 - they were mad cheap a year ago so i thought i'd get one considering the price of cdjs. oh and jay weed is very good. though he's really one of those artists who i enjoy whenever i hear one of their tracks, think i should listen to more often, then never do for some reason |

My friend has a custom deck (old school arcade buttons) thar runs Traktor software, which he swears by. Mine will run it too (with remapping) but I'm too lazy and Twitch works well enough for me.
Check out Jay's old FACT mix, I still listen to it often. Hell, I'm going to listen right now. http://www.factmag.com/2011/05/13/fa...-247-jay-weed/ |

tracklist looks amazing, anyone who manages to mix dj bone, digital mystikz and demdike stare in one set deserves props. i'll check it out tomorrow, thanks!
speaking of fact mixes - i don't know if you listened to mk's, but i thought it was mad grooving. the first track alone is worth it http://www.factmag.com/2013/01/21/fact-mix-366-mk/ |

I've been so busy that I haven't looked in a few days, but I pretty much live by FACT (thanks to Glice). I find inspiration in how other people mix.
Last I checked, itunes said that I'd listened to the Air France mix 550+ times.... lololol |

mixes are definitely an inspiration. you should listen to ben ufo's rinse: 16. the guy is only a dj, he does not produce, and it shows - insanely creative mixing. iirc at one point he mixes a track in, then mixes another on top of that, stops track #2, mixes a third track over the third one, stops it again, then finally fades into another track. stunning. i should be seeing tomorrow in a night that also has karenn (aka blawan + pariah) live, should be a good one |

if anyone's interested - the bar enjoyed the first night, so my friend and i got to set up another edition. i recorded my set this time, so if you want to hear it, head over to my soundcloud: https://soundcloud.com/backgroundsou...g-2-the-lab-05
i did the warm up set, which explains why it begins with chill tunes, then you've got some garage/house/bass/uk funky/etc. the mixing is quite dodgy at times, but overall it should be fine. hopefully you'll enjoy it! |
