I was so sick last night, I could get graphic, but none on you want to hear that stuff.
Today was a little bit better, but I missed work today. I'm hoping I feel 100% tomorrow morning, I don't really feel like getting a sick note from the Dr. UGH. Not from Taco Bell though..... |

I get migraines about three or four times a year, from accidently eating MSG*, which is in everything that tastes good. I finally found a perscription medicine that sort of works, but you have to take it in the morning as soon as you detect it. But at that point it just feels like a normal sinus headache, so I almost never get it in time.
I think the best thing to do to get rid of a headache, honestly, is to ignore it. I just walk around pressing as hard as I can against the left side of my head and try to keep busy. Lying down just makes it the only thing you can think about. Although sleep eliminates it completely, if you can get there. *EDIT: Monosodium Glutamate. Not Madison Square Garden. |

I get maniacal w/o cigs; caffeine I can do without no problem because I rarely have anything with caffeine. Tobacco is a horrendously stupid vice of mine...curse Sir Walter Raleigh/He was such a stupid git...
I used to get loads of sinus headaches for years & years back when I had asthma problems in my pre & early teens. Now, I never get sick, & never have headaches. Really. I'm talking years & years here that defy all medical logic. It's a mystery to me because although I eat pretty well & fairly healthy, I'm a big-time abuser of my body with multiple substance abuse habits. Headaches are so awful...One can't enjoy anything with a bad headache or while they are sick. It's during those times that you clearly realize that health is the most important thing, but once one gets well again, they go right back to taking everything for granted. Um, Uma is on Letterman tonight, so don't miss out...Ray Davies was on Leno last night but I passed out & missed it & I wonder what song he did. |

This is what I do. I usually don't take anything either, maybe 2/10 of the headaches I get I treat with something. They usually last for quite a while too. I coined a phrase to describe my headaches: "I've got a headache thats driving a cheese grater through my brain!" Usually whenever I get sick I try watching t.v., it takes my focus off my head. |
