out of everything SY has released in a weird sense this is my favorite. it makes me wish they'd do more original film scoring type things and it really makes me wish they'd do more stuff like that in general. what're yr thoughts? do you agree or disagree? discuss.

Expect, at some point, an SYR boxset (or something like that) containing all of SY's soundtrack work.

I'm very fond of the Demonlover soundtrack... nice to see that it's getting some kudos...
My faves are: Electric Noisefield and Teknikal Illprovisation

i love sy when they do impro/instrumental stuff. Demonlover is great (espec. superdead), so Melbourne Direct, so Silver Session, so many other instrumental tracks from their catalog are.

One moment i was scared. I thought you are talkin' about the movie
Yeah, the soundtrack is pretty awesome. In a improv/instrumental SY top i think i'd put it second, after Silver Session and on same position with Kali Yug Express 10" which is bassicaly the same session, if i remember right. |

i thought the kali yug stuff was from the sessions for things behind the sun? either way i agree w/ youjust in a different order: demonlover, kali yug (although i only have a burned copy) then silver sessions

You might be right about Kali Yug. I assumed that cause Move Away is bassically a variation of Coca Neon Kamera Sutra, but as far as i remember the last two tracks. Kali Yug appeared on Things Behind the Sun

Maybe a bit stupid to comment on this old topic. But i picked up a copy of demonlover today (is it out of print? if not, the guy from the record guy definitely made me pay too much). And after one listen, i absolutely love it. For me this album is way better then some of the syr's.

I wish more of the soundtrack was like "Move Away".... and I'd like to see a legit reissue with outtakes and no bonus tracks by other bands.

nah far from favorite. My wife got it for me for xmas one year actually, yr right. But There's some interesting ideas. Its' far too brutal for me. But if more sounded like "Move Away" or the stuff they did for Things Behind The Sun, I'd probably love it. --> The Destroyed Room is a favorite album of mine, so I'd like to hear the supposed soundtrack boxset they planned.
