i've really been digging the newish Earth album, Hex: Or Printing In The Infernal Method, as well as catching up on the new sub-pop reissues of their old stuff. so nice to hear loud clean guitars w/ reverb and vibrato in a slow-as-syrup drone metal mode. supposedly insired by neil young's dead man soundtrack.

any takers here?

more like this? not so into other sludge-metal bands i've heard. maybe i should just buy that neil young noise cd "arc" i've been curious about (supposedly thurston encouraged him to do it on the SY/NY tour). or some mazzacane...
