This is definitely a good thing for the people of Iraq although Obama was reluctant to leave but has to due to the agreement signed by Bush. He tried to get the date postponed but Iraq said no.

Well now the hawks are saying we need to 'protect civilians' in Syria and Tunisia seems to have voted the 'wrong' way, and Libya will need to be set straight, and of course if the elites weren't all at the heroin trough we would have already blasted Pakistan back into the 1600's. I am sure there is plenty to keep the death junkies satiated for awhile.

The Iraqi government want the USA to go, so the USA should go. Obama is so much more astute than Bush, he wont make a big deal out of it at all but come the election there will still be Republicans trying to attack his foreign policy decisions from a neocon point of view. A big part of me thinks the election next year is gonna be even more of a low for the Republicans than 2008 was

someone might have mentioned it but the mercenairies aren't going anywhere...and will now be run by the State Dept?
from CNN The complexity of the situation is not lost on top officials at the State Department who are busy preparing to assume control of every U.S. responsibility in Iraq – including contracting operations. "The State Department is doing something that quite frankly we have never done before, this is not going to be easy and I think we all understand that," Deputy Secretary of State Thomas Nides told CNN. |
