Hi everyone, I don't think this has been posted. I suspect it contains plenty of delicious early Sonic photos.
http://www.editionpatrickfrey.com/en...erine-ceresole there's one I've never seen here!

Is this the chick that partly bankrolled Bad Moon Rising and then fell out with Sonic Youth after they spelled her name wrong on the liner notes? Sincerest apologies if I'm mistaking her for someone else!

I think so right? And if I'm not mistaken, they had something to do w/ Walls Have Ears? Looks awesome! Note to self: time to re-read Goodbye 20th Century.

Her and Nicolas helped pay for "Confusion is Sex" as well as SY's first European tour, not sure about them falling out (apparently I need to reread G20C too!). Add in her ubiquitous photographic presence at early SY shows, and I'd say she's a *critical* figure in SY's history, so hopefully people will check out her book (myself included, when $$ permits).
Her and Nicolas do indeed have their names misspelled on the original "Bad Moon Rising" liner. I believe Thom is also misspelled.

Hehe, yes, it is, she said something like "I could have bought a boat with the money I've given to Sonic Youth and then they go and spell my name wrong" and Kim or someone was like "I don't know what kind of boat, maybe a canoe"
Disclaimer: I can't quite remember where I read about this and these quotes are only paraphrases. |

I'm too lazy to look for my copy right now, but I'm pretty sure you read it in the liner notes of the Bad Moon Rising DGC-reissue. |

Indeed! I don't think I'll take Gerard Cosloy's word literally, though...
