anything by kurosawa is good for example, but if you're one of those people who can't read subtitles, eh...

same with fellini-- from i vitelloni to orchestra rehearsal, all masterpieces

also radioactive poltergeist recommended straw dogs-- i say go for all and any sam peckinpah movie you can get your hands on. the wild bunch!!!! ayayay...

one thing i'll say because it was recommended above-- forrest gump is the biggest turd ever filmed. a worthless piece of shit.
