Any opinions? A few tracks in and I'm loving it. It's certainly a)their most chilled album and b)their most synth album.

Its good. Different, but good.
I have yet to be disappointed by this band. I have a feeling this is going to be a 2012perfect favorite. It also has me on a massive Liars kick. |

I do love the Liars. Saw 'em a couple years back. It was good. Loaded, but good. Trying to see them again in July.

It is as different from the last 2 as Drums was from the first. I am really enjoying it.
This has been a big year for established bands, and this album might even outdo the new Spiritualized. Time will tell. |

Love Drums not Dead and the self-titled. How does this compare? What does it sound like?

Fuckin' synthy. Different, but still definitively Liars. Like all their albums, it takes more than one listen to appreciate. But it is moody and atmospheric, and manages to fit in well with the rest of their catalog, given a reasonably pragmatic viewpoint.
Give it a few listens. PM me if you can't find it. |
