I think it is. And if you disagree it only goes to show what poor taste you have.

lest we forget Al Green..."this song goes out to Junior Parker"...appears on Al Green Explores Your Mind (1974)
he's got some recent live version that the young 'uns listen to with B.B. King, Sheryl Crow & Lenny Kravitz too love Talking Heads' version though...you get sucked in immediately with the drum & bass... I love listening to live versions of The Book I Read too... definitely a deep track worth mentioning... Feel my fingers as they Touch your ar ar arms Im spinning around but I feel alrigh igh ight The book I read was in your eyes |

It was Talking Heads' version on disc 2 of the "The Name Of This Band Is..." 2xCD that reminded me of the song's greatness, although I've long been a fan of Al Green's version too. I'm looking forward to the drive home from work so I can listen to it again.

I immediately thought of the Ut song with that as the motif and thought, "No, but it's good".

Nah, they just used the words 'Take me to the river' for a chorus. It's on Griller.
