okay, so everyone choose a music genre and name your top 10 records that you've ever heard in this genre.
I'll start, and (as the king of predictability) I will choose ambient music. 1. Aidan Baker&Thisquietarmy - Orange 2. Terre Thaemlitz - Soil 3. Shuttle 358 - Optimal LP 4. Peter Wright - At Least a New Dawn 5. Biosphere - Substrata 6. Richard Skelton - Landings 7. Philip Jeck - Loopholes 8. Taylor Deupree - .N 9. Taiga Remains - Ribbons of Dust 10. Francisco Lopez - Untitled #89

polygenre and circuscore bands... basically, bands that jump a lot of genres and/or have a circus-y sound...
1. vicious hairy mary - orchestral phantasma 2. mr. bungle - disco volante 3. darth vegas - it came from beyond 4. don salsa - [their only album, the one that starts with that 30 minute song that combines every genre ever made] 5. idiot flesh - fancy 6. experimental dental school - jane doe loves me 7. secret chiefs 3 - book of horizons 8. estradasphere - palace of mirrors 9. farmers market - surfin ussr 10. fishtank ensemble - s/t honourable mention: phantom limbs - displacement (circusy/gothy, great shit) all those albums are just fucking mindblowing |

Top 10 Psychopathic Records releases NOT by the Insane Clown Posse
1. Twiztid - Mostasteless 2. Esham - A-1 Yola 3. Psychopathic Rydas - Dumpin' 4. Twiztid - Freek Show 5. Anybody Killa - Medicine Bag 6. Myzery - Para La Isla 7. Blaze Ya Dead Homie - 1 Less G in The Hood 8. Psychopathic Rydas - Check Yo Shit in Bitch 9. Anybody Killa - Hatchet Warrior 10. Blaze Ya Dead Homie - Colton Grundy I'd like to note that I'm expecting The Dayton Family - Charges of Indictment to be high on this list when it drops in June. I also excluded Esham's Acid Rain due to it being a compilation of non-Psychopathic tracks. |
