The problem with aspiring music journalists

Is it me or the fact that unless you have an opinion about Wolf eyes etc etc ,these days you are not really seen as 'an expert'?Is this continious and persistent contextualization of bands,genres etc etc not really putting a big strain on musicians of any kind?What happened to simply listening to a record enjoying it and making sure that you shut the fuck up about?

Honestly, I don't care what someone has to say about an album/artist. If I like, I like it.

Seriously, how many reviews have made or kept you from buying an album?

to me, the problem with music journalists is that they can't write an actual review for an album without inserting pointless drivel about tying their shoes and waxing their ass hairs.

I dont like the fact that they always have to compare bands to other bands and they always have words for everyone and everybody are excellent.

i think the problem is alot of them are arrogant and pretentious. They'll listen to a record once and then write a review without even giving it a second spin. It seems that a lot of the time they have their reviews half written before the've even heard the record.
