youtube is a great site with tons of great videos but it's such a wide selection we might be missing out on some amazing videos. There's a lot of good videos of bands you hardly ever see videos of on there. Lets try to turn each other on to some cool music videos of bands we've heard of or might not have heard of.

I have LOTS of bootleg video tapes I'd like to transfer to put on youtube, like the SY 83 Milan video. I have no idea how to do it. Any help with programs to do this?

You can buy machines that convert VHS to DVD- and if you can't find one, I'm sure if you ask around there is a specialist for that kind of thing in your area. Then just transfer the videos from the DVD to your PC. :]

That's cool, but isn't there a program for your PC that you can plug your vcr into the 'puter to transfer that way?

We have something similar at school, where you run the vcr into something of that sort (I'll check to see what it is a school) and with a certain program you can capture video from the VHS tape onto the computer..

the only annoying thing about youtube is all the shows and films that people have cut into clips and put crappy soundtracks to. if you want to watch something then you have to wade through it all.
