Anyone else ever watch Bill Nye the Science Guy way back when? Awesome show. I for one used to watch it semi-religiously. I remember sitting on the floor, inches away from the TV w/ a plate of Hot Pockets in front of me + watching Bill Nye.
Here's Nyevana w/ their song "Smells like Air Pressure". http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RCmaxzH6JhI Mudhoney once was on the show w/ a reworking of Bill's theme: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Pq_ZnidShI Soundgarden even made an appearance once (I actually remember this particular bit...shows them in the studio recording "Kickstand" for the "Sound" episode) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NuuObdXgN_8

I have been watching Bill Nye lately on my PBS in the mornings, it is and always was the shit. I laugh my ass off hysterically, and while I rarely learn anything new, it is always a great refresher course.. pure genius! great post!

Bill Nye show was great I watched that shit as a grown ass adult.
science! I always liked how they would explore a topic for the full show. I hated beakman's world because it was like reading index cards, minimal info, just barely scratching surface of a topic, and then on to a fart joke and more non-science shit

yes, beakman's world and several other imitators were boring, lame and lacking of substance.. Bill Nye was a genius, ALL americans should watch Bill Nye to get an elementary understanding of science, since so many of us americanos are dipshit ignorant when it comes to science.
