I know. Bands I tend to go with are Electrelane, Berlin, Devo, Joy Division.

silver daggers are hilariously neat , i was on a comp with them. the new sleeping people album is really good. probably album of the year. i liked the new pre album a lot. lately, i've been listening to "lost legends of surf guitar". that's very good. i also dig on some squirrel bait, the new six organs of admittance, and the entire wipers/greg sage discography. so, try those.
though since you're into devo, i'll reccomend some of my old favorites too: servotron, causey way, polysics, brainiac, microwaves, six finger satellite, man or astroman, spoozys, metronome, motocompo, p-model, skyfisher, and -- strangely -- the network (green day's fake robot band who is actually good, not the mathmetal band called the network). there you go. |

To Rococo Rot is a neat call. Especially the collab album with I-Sound called "Music is a Hungry Ghost". One of my ever-favourite glitch/indietronica albums.

Go buy some BATTLES, Mirrored is the best 2007 album, by far, imo

Yes. Or Racc-oo-oon, Behold Secret Kingdom.
I also like the new Liars a lot. Some people say you should be into the new Radiohead, but it's too popular.

to rocco rot IS good but nothing spectacular imo. i'd rather listen to eight frozen modules.
mirrored is good, but if you all hear the new sleeping people it's the best album of the year! seriously! |
