I have been listening to this for a week now.
Holy fuck why did no one tell me it was so GODDAMN BORING? I mean fuck, has there ever been a bigger disconnect between what a band looks like on the cover and the music found inside? shit. I ha dno idea it was fucking 50's doo wop rock n roll bullshit, with dipshit Dick Hell warbling nonsense. Jesus what a FUCKING BORE. I want my money back. luckily I also purchased The HUSKER DU E.P. - Metal Circus which is fucking amazing and awesome and a million times better than this fucking sha na na fuck and his voidoids. people, I am warning you for no one warned me. stay away from this shithole of a borefest.

"Oh, Rob!"
"Now, Laura, take it easy, honey." "But, Rob. Oh, Rob, it's a great record. It's one of the finest of the new-wave period, edgy and yet melodic, tuneful and literate. Why, Rob, I'm surprised, frankly."

that dipshit Dick Hell warbling nonsense is one of biggest key figures of punk and you are asking people to stay away from him?
they should talk about this record at school. |

I half-agree. It's a really uneven record, parts are sheer brilliance, but a good half of the record is some of the most forgettable music to come out of the CBGB's crowd.

BORING BORING. I do not hear any "new wave" in it, nor any "punk" in it whatsoever. I hear a fucking sloppy ass garage rock wanna be band. BORING!
Get the fuck out of here with richard hell seminal punk figure NONSENSE The album fucking sucks. half of it is pure boring 50's rock wanna be bullshit, BORING as all sweet fuck. There are 4 decent songs and 2 great songs. that ratio means SUCK_ASS ALBUM album full of fucking filler. anyone want to buy it off of me? 180 gram re-issue, played only 5 times. I fucking HATE IT so much. what a fucking waste of my goddamn money and virgin vinyl. for real, PM me and I will send it to you for $10 + s/h

Oh, come on. Keep it. Seriously. Do not give this shit away or sell it. Do not give away your vinyl.
Do you have the clear red vinyl edition? Like I do? This is a good record, Rob. Keep it. Even if you hate it now. Later you might not. Then you'll have to buy it all over again.

On the other hand, I think Metal Circus is boring. Much more boring than Blank Generation.

I think "Love Comes in Spurts" is an all time classic, and the title track is certainly an essential punk rock statement. Some of the rest is a tad dull. Punk rock was often a singles music, and some groups probably shouldn't have done full albums.

The album I think you should buy next time, Rob, is Cyborgs Revisited by Simply Saucer. It's on vinyl on the Get Back label.

No one seems to want to buy it from me. I will hold onto it.
I bought ti because the title track is pretty good, but damn, nothing else on it lives up to that. sad I fucking LOVE Metal Circus!

and the only reason Ricghard Hell is considered a "seminal" punk is because everyone thought he was so cute and wanted to dress like him. fuck him, and fuck his boring ass record.
