There's been a few mentions of them today, all of them positive so far.
They rock, so there's no point denying it. The best pop band since the golden age of the 1980's, no question, and the middle two LP's in particular are absolutely top notch stuff from start to finish. They'd be good on the same bill as Sonic Youth. Well, I'd go, anyway.

There is to be no 'I don't like the Sugababes' option, as such a thing would be wrong.

My vote went to 'Angels With Dirty Faces':

I went for Siabohan-era. In much the same way I'd vote for Bob Bert era, ergo, I am a bit of a prick.
To my mind, the second wasn't quite a complete album... it's all pretty much clutching at straws, they haven't done a bad single yet.

After she left, it's almost like a different band really, in terms of the sound. They drop the R&B and move towards dance. Then I though the last LP was more straight pop than the two that preceded it.
There's a singles collection due out soon, I think.

I wish they'd kick the ballads into touch. Just when I want to dance, they give me smoochy. Pah!
I can't imagine they'll be around for much longer though, so I look forward to the "Best Of". |

Stronger is just fantastic. Quote:
Well, the original member is Keisha, of course. And to be honest, as long as she's there, I don't really notice what's going on around her too much. Heidi's been there since the second LP too.

What the fuck are you on about?
The Sugababes have to be one of the worst examples of modern 'pop' music I've heard. What sort of standard do they set for their listeners to live up to (as we know the listener will want to)? To be fucking whores? With songs such as 'Push the Button'- pretty much a horny complaint asking guys to push their buttons, let them know they wanna fuck them. |

I am pretty sure they had a minor hit in the US a few years ago. I don't find any of them to be particularly attractive.
