If anyone can make avatars could you please make me one with these picture and a dark orange border. I usually get people on KR to make them but I'm impatient.

emmah,
if you mean avatar for this you can simply link the picture & the board software will resize it. if you need to add an orange border you can do that with ms paint. jut save as jpg not bmp and you're set. you can also make a matting rather than cut into it.... anyway i'd make you one but... ok, one im in a bit of a hurry bu you do the other 3? 1) open ms paint 2) use paint bucket w/ matting color 3) "paste from" name of photo 4) center accordingly on top left corner 5) resize bottom right corner to match edges 6) save as jpg |

Yes, the craftmanship required to make avatars is a highly specialized skill set. You were right to ask advice and post a thread.

Wow, suddenly you've gained access to a time machine and are a young man again, Ponce de !@#$%!.
And the very next thread after that will be about internet posters who are obviously overwhelmingly insincere and inconsistent in their beliefs, so stay tuned! |

You're really losing it.
Aren't you older than me anyway? Maybe you're not (as I think about it more), but hell there's only a few years difference in our ages. At my last check-up they told me I "must have great genes." If I treat my hair a little, I suddenly look like I'm in my twenties again (born in '68). And, I'll add, I don't have a single wrinkle. |

I was wondering if you could muster up an "age is a state of mind" defense and am mildly shocked that you can articulate such a germane point.
However, you're carrying on quite foolishly, and as anyone that reads this board knows, you yourself like to post in a (your own words) "Mr. Hyde" style, so why the melodramatic and judgemental flip-flop? Is it because it it suits your (perversion-masked-as-insincere-chivalry) purposes?

what this board knows is that your "specialty" is to pick on teenage girls and other minors because you think they are less "smart" than you, mr. socially inept dork. why do you try to discharge your unfocused anger on those who, unlike you, still have hope in their lives? hey, teacher, FUCK OFF. |

Judging by your sigs, I gather that you are both old. There was an old saying for this, something about pots, kettles, and african-americans...

At least I don't discriminate between those I hate. I am an equal opportunity bigot.

you're missing the pont-- it's not about anybody's age, it' about being an old cranky fuck who picks on kids. though maybe atari was already a lunatic dork at 14 but about age, it's how you carry yourself-- just look at gmku, there's a fine specimen of elder rock statesman. |

I know, I have a problem. Why else would I so freely tell everybody this? Can't you see this is a cry for help?!?

In all seriousness, it is funny how people are the same through their entire life and are constantly having their age blamed for it. If somebody young can't drive, it's because they are young and experienced, and if they get old and can't drive, it's because they're old and their senses have lessened. Nobody considers the possibility that maybe this person could just never drive.
