Buy The Ascension and Lesson #1. They are great. I've never seen him live, but I definitely would if I had the chance.

I seen him. It was good. It was a trio. He did play the world's ugliest guitar though.
this one, in fact.

It is actually a cool concept. Making a guitar like that gives you a very odd sound ring mod like effect. I'm a little confused as to how you tune it though. |

I love avant-garde and experimental music, and to be honest I quite like Glenn Branca, but his music really isn't that interesting to me. I'd love to see him live and I always check to see if the record stores have anything of his, but I really don't like his music all that much (from the very little I've heard, that is). It's more of an intrest and appreciation for me than a real liking.

that guitar, the double tiesco,,,,where does he tune the strings?!?!?! observing, the guitar that should be the "hand" usually, is a entire guitar with no 'hand' upsidedown,,,,conected with the body of another guitar with no arm.
it's upsidedown,,,the lowest notes are close of the body of glenn, an the highers, away from his body,,,,,,,well i think he can turn it and play in the other side...

Awesome video. Haha I like how at 0:45 he just looks up with a dead expression on his face and then goes back to thrashing.

I think Steve Vai has some of the coolest guitars. Except for the heart one. That's kinda odd. His Ultrazone, Euphoria, and Jems are some of the best looking guitars I've ever seen.
