Actually surprising enjoyable, even if it mainly something of a novelty track. Basically sounds like what you'd imagine if you mashed together Odelay and Harry Patch Vol. 2. You're opinions on whether that's awesome or horrible will likely vary wildly, but I for one got a kick out of it. Also, it's worth posting because it means that we'll have 2 Harry Partch threads on the first page of the forum at the same time! A SYG first?

Oh, so Radiohead does a harry PATCH tribute and Beck does a harry PARTCH tribute? "Clever".
But yeah if it brings more fans into Partch's world, then cool. Last I looked, Partch only has 16000 listeners on last.fm, and considering the Beatles have like 30000000 or some shit and Partch has done more for music than them, or anybody I can think of.. yeah, what a shame. Thanks for this! |
