This is actually "olds", not news. I was checking the Feeding Tube Records site to see whether the second volume of Mars Archives was already out or had a release date (the answer turned out to be no, and apparently there will be only one more LP, so no trilogy, Byron), and what I did find was a link to this very interesting interview, which I'm pretty sure wasn't there when I ordered Volume One: China To Mars. Life on Mars: The Surviving Members of the Earliest No Wave Band Talk Muggings, Warhol, and 1977

I Fucking love Mars, man. Fucking love them. But I only own Complete Studio Recordings. Embarrassed to to say I didn't even know about this From China to Mars release.
Gonna buy it now though. |

You need Live At Irving Plaza as well. NEED IT. The reasons are right there. — 15 minutes or so of "NN End" with the one and only Rudolph Grey. Consider that the version on Mars LP, aka The Complete Studio Recordings NYC 1977-1978, at 3 minutes and 53 seconds, is the longest track on that compilation. In other words, a full side of extemporization that will blow your cotton socks away from a band you've only experienced in comparatively way shorter bursts of annihilation. — Recorded by Brian Eno "on some kind of prototype cassette" (bitchen). — Includes Mars As We Know It, a classy, big booklet by Thurston & Coley. — Also, you get a code for an mp3 version of not only this LP but also Live At Artists Space. Now go get it and cut it the fuck out with that Radiohead silliness and those interminable goddamn posts.

Hah. Inteminable... yeah. Can't really argue with that. I only have a couple of periods during the day where I'm able to post, so I end up playing a lot of catch up, often making multiple posts in a row. But maybe that's part of the Severian charm? Anyway, I'm seriously about to place some orders here. What should I get first? Honestly, tell me what I should prioritize as my next purchase, considering I only own the Complete Studuo Recordings on CD. In terms of quality and must-hear recordings (not novelty or collectibility), what's the next step? |

Wait, Irving Plaza is out of print, God motherfucking dammit. I'll make the iTunes purchase now if you recommend it.
I'd really rather not have my MARS shit on digital. I want the goddamn LP. But I love this band, so I'll take what I can get I suppose. |

How is 10/2016 "last October?" It was like six weeks ago. It's just "October," John-boy. |

No it makes it literally the most recent October. Not "last October." Bah! Do you call the day before yesterday "last Monday?" I would hope not. You'd call it "Monday." "Last Monday" is Monday of last week. "Last October" is October of last year. |

You should make a movie about it called 'The Hunt For Last October'
I've actually been confused about last past before after preceding succeeding a lot. Go back! What you want me to go back? No go back foreward after you return! |
