Fucking ace. Ace. Aaron Weiss' lyrics are fantastic. The new one is really really disappointing but AB Life and Catch For Us The Foxes were brilliant.
His best song to date is still Norma Jean's Memphis Will Be Laid To Waste. When he comes in with: He laid emeralds in her eyes. Oh, but I already tried. A bracelet made of gold. A scarlet thread around her wrist. And everything was wrong. So, we sang sentimental thoughts. How seldom we belong. How elegant our kiss. We painted crooked lines. We danced in perfect time To a love so much refined. We know not what it is until like a dullen wine We pour into a grief we've known before But never quite like this. Never quite like this. All I know now is regret. It follows like a sillhouette on the cobblestone behind us, But has nothing left to say except to delicately ask, Its voice delicate as glass, Do you see me when we pass? But I continue on my way. Oh, fucking joy. Oh, fucking hope.

Not one that I've seen. Just listen to Norma Jean's song and you'll know what I'm talking about.

Yeah, sort of an 80's indie rock chick flick. |
