no that's not the guitar. It's not the firebird or the firebird III. I remember seeing the name of it was written on the headstock but i can't remember. The band is " Pink Mountain Tops ".

I KNEW I'd seen one somewhere but I couldn't place it.
They have active electronics. That's about all I know about them.

It's a Gibson RD Artist. It was one of the first guitars to have active electronics, and was a joint development between Gibson and Moog (creators of the Minimoog, best mono synth ever, but I'd still sooner pay $2399 for a DSI PolyEvolver Keyboard that can play 4 notes at a time, as opposed to $2995 for a MiniMoog Voyager that can only play one note at a time)...at that time, both Moog and Gibson were owned by the Norlin conglomorte (sp?).
