In 1974, Stan Brakhage, an independent American movie maker, presented his notable film Text of Light, the subject matter whereof is the light itself. In 2001, a New York group of the same name was established, focused above all on music improvisations to this film. Centered around Lee Ranadlo, the popular Sonic Youth guitar player, the group stands on the frontier of improvising and rock music, the group and represents current radical streams.

I'll probably take my roommate's car, an old Felicia and I can pick you up at the airport or whatever. I'll most likely come back straight after the gig, since it's like 1,5 hour driving distance from Bratislava and since I have to be at work the next day.

I just need to know if Lee is definitely playing. nothing in the calendar section yet. SY finish Australia tour on 23rd. so maybe he's going to spend the rest of 9 days in between in Europe instead going to US and back. who knows.

I rang to the promoter, try to contact the guy in charge with running it, but he's gone from office by now. I'll ring him tomorrow. I'll ask him if he knows more about Lee is playing for sure or no. I will ask him about the taping policy as well. wouldn't like to do stealth recording, coz this time I'd bring video camera (hopefuly).
