Freeform NYC/NJ station WFMU is undergoing its annual fundraiser for listener support, and Brian Turner's program will be offering up a distortion pedal donated by the band (and used by Lee) as a grind prize for his Tuesday March 14 3-6pm ET program (www.wfmu.org/playlists/BT)
To enter to win, listeners are asked to pledge a minimum of $75 to the program, and in return automatically receive a bunch of station swag for that level: https://wfmu.org/swag/ That pledge also automatically nabs you Brian's 2017 tee shirt of his own design, and puts you in the pot for the drawing at the end of the show for Lee's pedal. It looks to be a specially-crafted thing, but sounds sick. There's pics on Brian's program's Facebook page (and a video soon if not now demo'ing it). https://www.facebook.com/events/1242601435823252/ Either way, you'll be helping support a great cause, and keep a great independent freeform radio station back on the air. Sonic Youth did two concerts for WFMU in their history, a 1991 benefit show, and a 2008 50th Anniversary concert with the Feelies in NYC's Battery Park, broadcast over WFMU. In addition, Lee Ranaldo and the Dust have done two full live sessions on Brian's program Sincere thanks to Steve and Lee for wrangling this gift! This contest stands only from 3-6pm ET Tuesday on WFMU! |

Here's a demo, it's a sizzler (of homemade construction it seems): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SvoF...ature=youtu.be

Sounds like a mean fuzz... its not like a Big Muff, more like a real nasty hi-gain fuzz face or a thick Super Fuzz. Sorta sounds like my Death By Audio Fuzz War with full drive.
