Thurston Moore

Radcliffe and Maconie

Singer-songwriter, guitarist and founder of Sonic Youth, Thurston Moore is Mark and Stuart's guest today. He formed the influential US rock band in 1981, has over the years collaborated with artists including Dave Grohl, Yoko Ono and Richard Hell and was included in Rolling Stones' Top 100 guitarists of all time. He joins Mark and Stuart to talk about his latest project - composing for and conducting a guitar orchestra. His work 'Music for Twelve 12-String guitars' sees him leading twelve guitarists in a performance - the first half being acoustic, the second electric - arranged as if they were one single 12-string guitar.
