Deerhoof were the best for me. I also really enjoyed The Fall, Warlords Of Pez and Sonic Youth of course. Pity that they were on the main stage though.
I have to say that there was an awful lot of assholes at this festival. My friend got attacked by a guy just before Sonic Youth came on. He's sporting a black eye and a fat lip today and he didn't do anything wrong. Good line-up overall. Shame about all the dickheads there. |

i heard the stooges were standard old man rockin out. nothin special and i heard deerhoof were mindblowingly bedwettingly awesome!
as regards the dickheads. there was one or two i had a problem with at the beastie boys sunday gig and a couple of chemical brothers rave on antics but by in large, everyone was real cool. i went down to lcd soundsystem on my ow, got chattin to a group of girls from carlow, real real nice people, had a laugh! i found it a real friendly festival, i suppose its who you choose to talk to and luck that you dont run into the wrong guy at the wrong time...... there is always nice folk at the front at sy gigs tho! |

I did meet some nice people too, but unfortunately we seemed to end up surrounded by the worst element when we were walking around. The people at the bands we went to see were fine. The guy that attacked my friend wasn't even there to see Sonic Youth, he was just passing with some other morons and decided to attack my friend. Anyway, my friend had a drink and enjoyed Sonic Youth regardless.
