Tom Cruise and Republican presidential candidate Rep. Ron Paul are the other guests. I'm definitely watching towards the end of the show tonight.
Letterman's got Jennifer Connelly, Slash and Nicole Adkins as the musical guest tonight. |

You parrots bore me to tears with that PiL is even better than Sex Pistols line.
Look, it's gonna be what it is; stop your damn bellyaching. Letterman's bumper just had the video of the young Ahhnold tokin' up on the joint. |

Ha, weird because a guy I know was actually on Jay Leno tonight. Robert, he was the Canadian that could stuff all those candies in his mouth and he holds the record for most grapes in his mouth.

PiL were a marginally innovative and influential band, but they aren't legends like the Sex Pistols.
That should be basic to the non-obtuse. Furthermore, Lydon has always had a very unconventional voice and style, but that didn't matter with his work with the Sex Pistols, because his heart is clearly there and it translates into the power and energy of that legendary music. His vocals and lyrics sound terrific on Never Mind the Bullocks...Here's the Sex Pistols. But as soon as Lydon left and formed PiL, his listenability declined rapidly. He's pretty bad now, and also was fairly wretched on the previous reunions. The guy admittedly doesn't like to perform anyway, and he's very "off" for the most part in my opinion, but again, he's been "off" ever since during most of PiL. Although, some of PiL is strong enough musically to get past Lydon's shortcomings. I would have much rather have heard "Liar" or "Problems" tonight. |

Zappa Plays Zappa (featuring Dweezil) just played a sweet "Willie The Pimp" (an excellent choice of song) on Late Night With Conan O'Brien.

Yeah, you're right, although it's been awhile, Letterman was using it before occasionally...before its most recent resuscitation on the internet(ting).

Last time I've watched Johnny Rotten on tv I wanted to punch him through my tv screen. He was such an irritating, stupid arsehole, it was unbelievable. Why he still thinks that he has made some sort of impact on the world is beyond me. And PIL are waaaayyyy better than Sex Pistols.

I saw them on the Tonite Show!
I usually sit at the computer with headphones on talking to my other geek friends about killing pixels, but for some reason the TV was on. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I've not heard/seen anything by even Johnny Rotten in a long long time. it made me happy. |
