I'm not asking you to tell me how to deal with it, it's just that today I am getting an awful lot of people on the phone who are seriosuly starting to get on my nerves so I am dealing with them in an offhand manner and with an air of exasperation at their utter stupidity. Depends. I was almost run over by a redneck's pickup truck a few weeks back. I yelled and called him an asshole and gave him the finger.

I was given the snob treatment by an obviously bored store clerk. I smiled and tried to make small talk, because I knew it would irritate her even more.

Sometimes rude works for me, sometimes just the opposite.

I have no set prescriptions for anything. Almost everything I do in this crazy little thing we call life is situational.

Jico, I have to say that what you've posted was both rude and offensive, but then I also know that you are a complete provocative internet idiot, so it doesn't matter. The vast majority of English people tend to be well-mannered and friendly, and I would know this as a foreigner. The sort of people that I am talking about are filthy rich and bored of themselves etc, but the vast majority of them are ok. It's just that today 3 out of 4 people seem to be in a foul mood.
