Black Flag were much better after that hardcore punk era. My War and Slip It In are by far the best albums they released
Though I just got Damaged on Vinyl there on Saturday. Good shit |

My girlfriend asks me which one I like better.
I hope the answer won't upset her. SIX PACK! That's my favorite line. |

Black Flag is so terrible, you can't help but enjoy them. Rollins' attempts at being lyrically deep are priceless.

Yeh Ginn wrote most of the lyrics. The lyrics dont matter as much as the feel of the music anyway. Totally amazing.

Anybody else watch the new Henry Rollins show on IFC? I'm addicited to it. He hasn't gotten any less pissed off over the years and it's great! You can check out all the rants, interviews and musical guests here... http://henryrollins.ifc.com/?referer...fc.com%2Fhenry

Ooh, I didn't know that. *Insert virtual foot in mouth* Someone gave me a copy of My War and I was listening to it over the weekend. I'd only ever heard Damaged, and I like them for their sheer loudness, but had to laugh at some of the lyrics. I always assumed Rollins was the responsible party. ASSumption aside, Mackle is right, the lyrics can be set aside I suppose. It's more of a volume-related indulgence. |
