More so than during the other three seasons, that is.
I've noticed year after year that there are always loads of good shows to choose between in October / November. Are they trying to capitalise on increased visibility following the festival season? Or are travelling costs less during the autumn? Or is there some other explantion? |

Cooler temperatures.
Kids are back on campuses, where most of the good venues are. Bands like to take the summer off and go to the beach just like everyone else.

More albums are released in the second half of the year in time for the Christmas rush, hence more bands touring in support of them.
University venues book a lot more bands to try & show the newly-arrived students how hip they are. |
