did anyone see the HIP HOP HONORS show on VH1 where they honored cypress hill, 2 short and De la Soul? the de la segment was fucking awesome. they talked to de la for a few minutes about themselves and then all sorts of fucking bad ass motherfucking rappers did various De la songs, including stakes is high, which is my fave, and me myself an I and the one that goes "I'm something like a phenomenon.." which is fucking dope too. It included chuck D and Flava Flav and redman and Q tip and EPMD, motherfucking EPMD, and it was fuicking GREAT, with prince paul DJ'ng for them. I recomend you watch it when it gets re run endelessly.

the "something like a..." one is "Ego Trippin' Pt. 2" classic classic classic. Meant to watch, but forgot. The one last year was good with Tribe, though. Too bad I missed. I do love De La.

the De La tribute stole the show. Ego Trippin !!! that's the song. Love the BuhLoon Mindstate album.
I found the De La performance http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c-8aPhx6AJ4 and the de La Profile http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cbOFU317sek from it on YouTube but not the all-star tribute

Vh-1 is annoying, but sometimes they run a few things that are okay. I like some of the Classic Album shows, and sometimes they'll run a "rock" movie like Gimme Shelter.
It's always been a lame channel, though.
