I searched long and hard for NYC G+F on vinyl, I ended up buying the cheapest LP on Amazon.com Used & New and the fuckers sent me a CD! I was not a happy man. Nonetheless, its the not the format that counts, it's the music and damn is it good.

Me too! I think this and Jet Set are the only ones I don't have.

Uff.
Looks like the best option would be an international order from amazon (hoping they won't send a cd...sorry for that, TINT ), and still the price is quite high... I can't even play LPs, but I'd love to have it, I'll think about it as a self-present for my birthday perhaps...Right now I have 3 copies on cd ha ha, I love it so much I keep on buying copies when I find good deals on ebay, then I give them away to friends, I think I bought 7-8 copies up till now. Karma should make me find a LP for 3E in the "bargains"bin in some shop in my town.

I saw a brand new copy in my local record store a few weeks ago. I forgot how much it was going for.

It's not stupid-rare or anything (those Amazon prices are ludicrous), though it's definitely the least common Geffen LP (partially because there's only a US pressing, no Euro or Japanese vinyl copies). I guess Geffen weren't too keen on vinyl by this point, which is why all the subsequent LPs have been released through Goofin'.
There was an eBay seller who had loads of sealed ones that were selling for anywhere between $20-$50 a few months ago. I paid about $25. |

this is one album that i'd actually be very curious to hear on vinyl, because i hated how the CD sounded (though that hatred may have dulled over the years) and would welcome at the very least a different dynamic to the overall sound...
