I've heard a few tracks of his on DJ Ricks shows, I liked them (a lot), and I've just ordered the Thank You Very Much double LP.
His discography is pretty vast, so any recommenations are welcome. http://www.myspace.com/dasmenace |

I have the 'She's So Blank' 7'' and it's good, particularly 'Certainly 14th Street'.

hes been around for a loooooong time, i lvoe his tunes, soulful garage rock influenced heavily by wu tang clan and what he calls "ghost punk", like roy orbison, everly brothers, etc.. my favorite melchior record right now is his collab with the one and only billy childish "devil in the flesh", its a very groovy, very traditional but still sort of strange, freaky blues songs with pissed off and sad lyrics about love. i fucking love it.

That is the least awesome record Dan has released in the Das Menace era. Everyone needs to get the new 2xLP and listen to the song "Blue Tentacles" in a pair of headphones. Not earbuds....1970's-style cans. That is a splendorous song! The whole 2xLP kicks ass. Other highlights of the last few years... The Pink Scream 12" EP Elev to Mezz 7" Madame Nhu 7" Christmas for the Crows LP
