I'm hitting that afternoon slump. I had a busy morning of turning in applications and resumes at quite a few places. Also, I had a trip to the dermatologist and had three areas of skin cancer removed. Then I had to go to the pharmacy and get prescriptions filled. (Good news, while I was waiting for the prescriptions, I tested my blood pressure...still good! Of course I have alwasy had good blood pressure....) Then mom and I had some shopping at Wally World to get done. Finally, I am home again. I have sustained myself with lunch, but feeling a slump. I'm thinking afternoon cup 'o coffee.
I realize all of you don't really give a flying flip about any of this. But it was your choice to read it.

In today's economy, when all but one of our family is unemployed, bargain shopping is a must. Fact is, they do have the best prices on some items.

I think a trip to Flea Market Montgomery would have been a nice diversion.

Nothing wrong with Wal-Mart. I just don't suggest working there.
I would say that I too have hit an afternoon slump, but I can't, because that implies that I wasn't in a slump this morning.

I am ready to drive down to Biloxi and punch my probation officer in the face for losing my February payment. I should have BEEN OFF OF PROBATION ALREADY BUT SHE LOST MY PAYMENT AND NEVER TOLD ME. Now, while I SHOULD be getting my liscence back, instead I have to send this fucking morons $50 again.
Now its going ot take another month to get my liscence back. Balls.

I shop at Wal-Mart all the fucking time. Their prices are unbeatable. Plus, there's almost always a gem in the $5 DVD bins.

Haha, gotta love the $5 bins. That's where I found my copy of Hook.

Oh, and in case you were wondering, my probation is for a DUI 1st offense I received at the beginning of December, when I still lived in Ocean Springs, MS.

Wal-Mart is awful. Do you know why their prices are so low?? because they get away with exploiting people all over the fucking world.
its the leading corporation in americas economy... and people are busy saying 'fuck the government'... who do you think has the most money to lobby and get their way??? HMM.. COULD IT MAYBE BE THE LEADING CORPERATION IN AMERICA...??? fuck wal-mart. if i have to spend 2 extra dollars on apples at the farmers market, so fucking be it. their prices may be unbeatable, but what are you buying?? i guarantee you its either something you don't need.. or something you could get at a local business for a little extra and still have a clean conscious. AND just for the record I CAN GET 5$ DVDS AT THE PAWN SHOP BY MY HOUSE. I DON'T NEED A FUCKING BIN TO GET ME BARGAIN DEALS. |

it was groceries we were getting there. I'm pretty sure we need that. And when you're trying to feed four people on one income...yes, that $2 for one apple does matter, because it adds up.

have you ever gone to a wal mart and paid careful attention to the faces of the people there? at first they look normal, but once you start noticing the poeple who have been in the walmart for longer than an hour, you can see what I mean. Their eyes are dead, glazed over, in reaction to the fluorescent lighting and grey/blue color scheme saturating ther eyes. They walk around like automatons, zombified aftertoo much time spent in that hellhole. I fucking hate going there because of this. I can feel my non-existant soul being sapped.

I work there. It's fine. Great benefits, make good money, easy to get time off whenever I need it, don't work hard in the least. JOB SECURITY. Obviously, I'm not going to make a "Career" out of it, but right now -- with the "Economic crisis" -- it's probably one of the safest places to work at. |
