Any fans of this song? I like it how SY get all glam with some serious licks all of their own on this one. Surely that's a first for them? They're also being totally 1974/5, with the advanced minds/souls we like them for.
Listen to the layers of bliss. they are the bliss. the bliss. |

Love that it just rolls for over a minute before T's Reed kicks in.
Love Steve on this one live. I have a great story about telling him just how much, but that's for the No Setlist follow up. His playing is frenetic and a ballast at the same time. Three months on, I'm still listening to The Eternal once a week.

Thurston messed up in Philli and seemed to forget how long the intro was. It was adorable. He later made a joke about it to me after the show. Quote:
oh, same same.

Good song. I always thought some of the riffs on Kool Thing sounded a bit "glammy" in parts but other than that, yeahhh.

I like that it has the same name as an almost listenable ABC song, but blows it out of the water.

The best part of this song is the noise guitar track which is amazing to hear becasuse SY haven't played in this style for a long time but on reflection it sounds far too low in the mix. If this was on dirty it would be at the forefront of the song and thats why this album is ultimately a bunch of complete and utter wank.

True , you can fuck with the eq but its the hass FOR ONE SONG! and even then the guitar is still low. plus, i didnt have to do fuck all for dirty so what the fucks gan on?!?! commercial bollocks, thats what, and i thought dirty was meant to be the pop shit! Dirty makes this sound like AQUA.

Posion Arrow is good. Probably the best Thurston song on the album.

Poison Arrow is my second favorite song on the album, after Leaky Lifeboat. It is probably the most completely original song on the album, in my opinion.

Actually, it's one of my least favorites on The Eternal. It's better than fucking Thunderclap and perhaps Leaky Lifeboat as well, but other than that, I'm not fond of it.
