I need a new winter jacket.
I'm useless at shopping for clothes though. I don't want anything too arctic friendly, just something I can typically wear over a polo shirt and jeans. We're talking smart-casual here. Please help me. |

if yr tall I'd probably go for something that finishes where yr butt stops, shorter stuff would probably make you look lanky and I think the longer cut looks nice on taller guys. my *personal* preference is for a nice tailored leather vintage look jacket something like this below(I prefer black to brown, or even any colour that is really dark like a nice burgundy. if you have a nice butt I'd choose the leather one.. I swear I have stopped what I'm doing and followed men around the city in winter when they've been wearing a nice tailored leather jacket with a split and a nice ass.) or, a nice semi tailored wool duffle one like below.. again I like winter coats in dark colours only (except for reds or greys on women), and I think black is best in wool on guys. Wool ones are more casual but just as cool, I think. especially if its a duffle. they're charming and it looks like you've "accessorised" without trying.

Haha, yeah. sorry.I was trying to edit and deleted by accident, but yeah. That might be a bit too tight for me. and even if I up the size it's sort of designed for the more athletic types. |

Man, you are talking about my favorite subject next to sex and LPs: Jackets!
I would suggest a nice fatigue jacket. See J. Crew's version. Or get a pea coat. See also J. Crew but you might also find an acceptable version in an army-navy clothing store. Military-influenced outerwear is very in right now.

I want a pea coat. it's too bad the family-clothing-budget for the next 10 years was spent on BOOTS!

I like M65 style jackets generally
I'd love a military wool overcoat/greatcoat but I can't find any locally and am wary of buying them online

sorry man, i don't give a shit about your wardrobe (i am not your mother), but i wanted to say that i wholly approve and am completely envious of your current location-- the fact that your jacuzzi companion is a 50 year old fox makes it even more appealing than if this had been the 80s. |

Since you have admitted to wearing polo shirts, I don't think we can find any common ground and I am useless to advise you in this matter.
