I'm looking for albums of any nature where people just go off on long, insane rants. I don't care if it's actual "bands" or if it's spoken word stuff; I just want to hear people go off on long, wild, extreme tangents. Good examples are The Fall, some Longmont Potion Castle stuff, tons of Sun City Girls stuff (especially the Uncle Jim sideproject), and even some of U.S. Maple's and Beefheart's stuff (and, obviously, some of my music as well).

The only thing that comes to my mind right now is the spoken word part in "Blaise Bailey Finnegan III" by Godspeed You! Black Emperor on their Slow Riot for New Zerø Kanada EP.

Yeah, that's cool, and there's some stuff like that on other Godspeed stuff, and one of the Mark McGuire albums (I think on that 120 minute tape), and I think on some Fly Pan Am stuff..
I wouldn't mind a whole album of homeless people ranting or something, haha. Another good example, I have a 2 disc, 155 minute thing call "Manson Speaks", which is Charles Manson over the telephone ranting to some guy... that's definitely in the vein of what I'm looking for. Amazing stuff. |

GG rants a bit on Freaks, Fagots, Drunks, + Junkies. Not exactly thought provoking, but a bit creepy for sure.
I know he planned on doing some spoken word/ranty albums before he OD'd.

Many finnish bands are quite extreme. Here are some examples of the bands and their extreme albums:
Jimi Tenor and his shamans: Diktafon Sweetheart: Well-dressed meat Radiopuhelimet: K.O. Terveet Kädet: Terveet Kädet (Kädet Suojelee and Ääretön Joulu are very good e.p:s from the band) 500kg Lihaa: Etkös ole ihmisparka Erkki Kureniemi (I don´t remember the name of this cd, but I think there is only one) I think you already know the Birthday Party. |

Eh, I could take or leave 'em these days. I always thought the story of regarding the cops having difficulty arresting him was hilarious (they didn't wanna touch him 'cause he was covered in feces).
OHHHH...I remember listening to a spoken word album once w/ Exene C. + Lydia Lunch. Can't remember what it was called, but it was kinda interesting. Mainly femi-Nazi bullshit but still a cool little time-killer. Wish I had more to offer. Never been much into spoken word/ranty stuff unless random lectures/debates on Youtube count.

RZA has a couple of rants on Wu-Tang forever that are quite entertaining
Also, there's a recording of Steve Buscemi reading a short story by Ethan Cohen from the book Gates of Eden where he has a rant about men who don't wear socks, that's quite funny. |

You might want to check out Jacob ter Veldhuis. He mixes classical music with audio samples of for instance drug addicted women. Here is a TV appearance of him from last week on Dutch TV, it 's starts after 18 minutes. If you tune in a couple of minutes earlier you will see a naked man.

Michael Gira and Lydia Lunch released a cassette called Hard Rock back in the day, with two long spoken word pieces. Especially the Gira piece is extreme and hilarious at the same time. Check it out:
