I couldn't find a thread dedicated to this site, so it's probably a good idea to start one. I've only been seriously ploughing through it this last week or so, I'm amazed at how much there is on there. Unfortunately, my conversational French is rubbish, so the Lacan bit is lost on me, but there's plenty elsewise on there.
Vito Acconci, for instance.

I never seem to explore that site (aside some cinema transgression stuff), even though I've been meaning to for years. kicks in my face please.

One of those sites it's really difficult to knock (unless you're looking specifically for bukkake porn, in which case it's utter shit.)

I've had that problem for a while - it's a bit daunting. But you just have to crack on with these things rather than constantly watching the same video on youtube over and over (nb back of the van is fast becoming my song of the year).

A world of brilliance - such a fucking great resource. The Vienna Aktionist stuff is, um, interesting, but I could spend all year watching the video stuff. And they have that rare as fuck Demetrio Stratos LP on there too!

holy fuck, a pretty extensive george kuchar collection is available there. http://www.ubu.com/film/kuchar.html his shit is hard to find. while the new york underground was looking at andy warhol's movies, george & mike kuchar made insane low budget movies in the bronx. they are kinda like the predecessors to john waters. awesome. |

^^^Totally agree with the !@#$%! on the Kuchar Brothers. I recommended these films on the Ubu site to another boardie a while ago. "Hold Me When I'm Naked" and "Sins Of The Fleshapoids" are genuis.

Yeah, Ubuweb is great. My personal favourite stuff on there are the Toshio Matsumoto shorts. Song Of Stone is especially amazing.
